and maintaining one’s ability to complete daily living skills to the highest level of functional independence.
At the Speech and Language Clinic Rehabilitation Center, and in correspondence with the professionals at
Peaks to Plains Therapy Services, the improvement of developmental disabilities, learning difficulties, fine
and gross motor delays, and physical disabilities is our top priority.
Pediatric Occupational Therapists also focus on improving a child/teen’s physical development, sensory
processing skills, cognitive skills and social/emotional development so that they are able to reach their
targeted level of functional independence with their daily life skills. Pediatric Physical Therapists work
to improve a child/teen’s gross motor skills (the body’s large muscle groups) to attain their highest level
of functional independence with activities of daily living at home and in the community.
